Viola Newbury

Viola is half Italian and fully bi-lingual, growing up she spent half her time in the Italian Alps and half in the flat fens of Cambridge.  She studied at Durham University, where she exploited the rich opportunities of student theatre before completing her training  at Drama Studio London.

Theatre Credits include major roles in: Chekhov Shorts (European Arts International Tour); Private Lives (Cambridge Open Air); Peer Gynt (Hackney Empire); Thin Toes (Hampstead Theatre); Strangers (Oval Theatre); Playhouse Creatures (Grange Court Theatre) and Devil in Drag (National Theatre Connections).

Film Credits include; The Symmetry of Love (Fleamarket Productions); Chatroom (Ruby Films); Through the Eyes (NPG) and He Doesn't Love You (Music Video for Barefoot Confessor). Viola is a skilled improvisator and a member of Multistory Theatre Company. She has an excellent ear for languages and is currently developing her singing voice.
