Nadira Janikova

Nadira is an Uzbekistan-born British graduate of the Drama Studio London. Her parents are both Soviet classical actors. Nadira’s autobiographical one-woman show, The British Ambassador’s Belly Dancer, sold out its opening run at the Arcola, before transferring to the Arts Theatre and to Ipswich and Edinburgh Festivals. Following her role in The Vagina Monologues at the New Players Theatre. Nadira has just finished recording several characters in David Hare’s new drama Murder in Samarkand for BBC Radio 4 starring David Tennant directed by Clive Brill for Greenpoint Films.

Nadira is from the former Soviet Union with an intriguing look reflecting a mixture of Russian, Afghan and Turkish nationalities.
