English born, Martin trained at the Sydney Actors Centre and the Sydney Vocal Studio. Martin won the Shakespeare category in the Sydney Festival Eisteddfod and has played Macbeth, Hamlet and Antonio. Martin completed a national tour of Australia with a TIE company whilst also performing at night as Johnny Rotten in a Sex Pistols tribute show. TV credits include Luke Davies a knockabout but humorous helicopter pilot in the long running hospital soap All Saints, Bob Godden a tough, no nonsense detective in The Gangs of OZ, Peter Adamson an unfriendly company director in Home and Away and himself as an informative yet not too serious host of Season’s Pickings, an Australian food and wine show. Having just completed filming as Michael Kean, an investigative journalist in an upcoming feature Russian Gold, Martin has been invited to perform the first reading of a new play, Scapegoat by Deb Freeman in Manchester and London.
